
Snow Day at Moniack Mhor 2018
We were happily snowed in at a songwriting workshop for teenage carers in January. We dealt with the serious subject of a carrot, card deals gone wrong, snow days and eyebrow taming.
We learnt more than our gifted carers did I'm sure!

Glasgow Songwriting Festival 2017
Jim teamed up with Findlay Napier, Emma Pollock and Karine Polwart to take 30 songwriters through a 3 day submersion course.

Tell us about yourself
I have been playing music since I was a child, and as an adult I have released 11 albums, and toured around many countries both solo and with my band.
I first got the chance to teach at the Feisan with Feis Barra and then Feis Rois back in 1990, and since then I've taught at over 120 different feisan, as well as numerous workshops and projects with teenagers around Scotland. I currently teach 130 pupils each week in 8 schools around Ardnamurchan area.

Jim Hunter: Songwriter, guitarist, performer, tutor, mentor to many and leading light of the Crack o’ Noon Club and The Gin Shed, Jim Hunter has been at the heart of the west coast and Scottish music scenes for many years. From the early days of all night sessions in Glenuig and Lochailort and his first album Burnt Out In The Snow (1988), through a further nine albums and extensive touring at home and abroad, Jim has developed an enthusiastic fanbase and reputation for great music and good craic.
